Cooking with Gas

Cooking with Gas

“More smiling, less worrying. More compassion, less judgment. More blessed, less stressed. More love, less hate.”

― Roy T. Bennett, The Light in the Heart

Are you having a good day? You are! Imagine you’re “cooking with gas” (as one of my bosses used to say), and you’ve got all pistons firing.

You're thinking quickly, and your recall is on point (such a happy day for those of us over 50). When you feel like you’re on your game, it’s natural to think that those around you are having that kind of day as well.

But things don’t always happen that way. You may be cooking with gas, but perhaps your gas station attendant is not. Neither is your business partner nor the person working at the desk at the motor vehicle office.

Be patient and kind to the person who is not having a great day. Because it might be their day tomorrow.
