Do Something That Scares You

Do Something That Scares You

Eleanor Roosevelt said, “Do one thing every day that scares you.”

I don’t think she was referring to skydiving or undersea exploration. My guess is that she was talking about objectives that you may consider “out of your box.”

Think about the times you've had to:

· Have a brutally honest conversation with a business partner or employee
· Start a new business from scratch or making drastic changes to your current model
· Dig deep to fund the down payment for your first home
· Try a new sport
· Take on a new role in your business
· Accept a job that is bigger, different, more complicated than anything you’ve done before

The new and unfamiliar can provide unprecedented opportunities for growth. Put on your parachute and see what happens.
