My Summer Reading Report

My Summer Reading Report

I recently finished “The Art of Racing in the Rain” by Garth Stein. The book is narrated by a dog named Enzo, who thinks like a human but is many times frustrated that he cannot aptly communicate to the people that he loves and interacts with every day.

A quote used several times throughout the story resonated with me. “That which you manifest is before you.”

The word “manifest” is defined as clearly revealed to the mind, or the senses, or judgment; it also means to reveal or make an appearance. I am sure my friends who specialize in self-actualization and visualization would like this idea. Picture yourself there. Believe in your intention, your purpose, and your future plans, and they will be set before you. Have faith.

So, my goal this September, the other “New Year” which is often recognized as a fresh start, is to “manifest what is before me.” Hoping Enzo’s sentiment will give you “paws” (sorry!) to consider the thought as well!
